The exit from Bàscara will not be very pleasant due to the infrastructures that we will have to cross.
We will leave along the street behind the church and at the end of the wall we will see a passageway that goes down to the N-II road and we will pass over the bridge that crosses the Fluvià river on the left side.
At the end of the bridge we will turn off this dangerous passage of the road and we will take the first turning we see on our left and then take a dirt track marked with the Camí de Sant Jaume (Way of St. James) signs until we reach the paved road that leads to Romanyà d'Empordà where we will turn left.
We will follow this road for 1.3 kilometres until you reach Romanyà d'Empordà. Then we will continue for 1.5 kilometres in the direction of Pontós, entering along Carrer de la Pobla.

After passing by the church of Sant Martí, we will turn into Mas Clos street and, at the top of the group of houses, continue straight on along a wide track. At the end of the track, at a crossroads with many paths, we will take the one on the right, which in 800 metres will take you to the GIV-5126 road.
We will turn right and follow this road for 400 metres until we see a dirt road on our left which leads us past the Mas Castellar building and a little further on we will reach the village Indiketa del Puig Castellar.
The site dates from the Early Iron Age (7th century BC), was inhabited throughout the Iberian period and disappeared in the Roman period (2nd century BC).

The part studied covers an area of about 8000 m², although the archaeological complex as a whole would occupy a space of about 5 ha. The remains visible are basically the front part of the oppidum fortified (450 BC).
However, it is known that there was a more recent agricultural settlement, two large silo fields, one in the Camp de Dalt and the other in the Camp de Baix, as well as two defensive ditches.
It is also known that in the last period there were 2 large houses (over 450 m) which, from the rich remains recovered, may have been the residence of the society's leaders indiketa.

Given the small percentage excavated in comparison to its vast extent, much remains to be discovered. We will follow the route along the path that passes behind the farmhouse and after a few metres we will turn right at the first turning.
After 340 metres, we will leave the path and we will take the path on your left, which after 500 metres leads to a wider path that takes we directly to the Mas Pagés farmhouse, which for a short time was dedicated to rural tourism, where we can see the beautiful 12th century Romanesque church of Sant Nicolau.
We will continue the route passing through the path in front of the church that enters the forest and after 1.3 kilometers it will take us to the GIV-5126 road where we will turn right and after 270 meters we will leave it on the left, entering to the village of Canelles.

We will pass by the church dedicated to San Esteban, which is already mentioned in the year 855, whose current building comes from a Romanesque temple from the 11th-13th centuries, much modified in later times.
After the visit to the church, we will go back to the crossroads and turn left. After 400 metres, when we reach a wide track, we will turn left again, in the direction of Navata.
We will walk along this wide track for 2.9 kilometres, first through the forest and then through open country until we will reach the beautiful church of Sant Pere de Can Miró.
The decoration of the tympanum of the doorway of this 12th-century Romanesque church is noteworthy, unlike the majority of churches in the Ampurdan, which are not decorated.
It is a beautiful representation of the Agnus Dei, nimbed and with the cross, surrounded by a pearly ribbon, the image of which seems to be inspired by a relief from the doorway of Sant Pere de Rodes, which is kept in the Marés Museum in Barcelona, although in this case the lamb faces in the opposite direction.

From here we only have 1,000 metres to go before we reach the church of the same name in Navata, which is very different from the previous one, as it dates from the 17th century.
We will leave the town taking the so-called Camí de Colomer and when we reach the Colomer neighborhood, where there are a few houses, we will go down a dirt road in the direction of the Riera de Alguema and then go up the other side, and in a short time we will arrive at the Castle of Navata.

This fortress has been documented since 1051, but in the 15th century it was completely remodelled and prepared for firearms, increasing the thickness of the walls and towers. All that remains of the original castle is the Romanesque chapel under one of its towers.
After the visit, we will continue along the same path in the direction of the ruins of the church and when we reach a wide path we will turn right and after 300 meters, in a detour we will turn right again through the so-called Camí de la Serra , which will go into the forest.
After 3.3 kilometres, we will reach the junction with the N-260 road, which we will cross with caution and continue along the path in front of us.
We will walk along this comfortable path for 1.4 kilometres until we reach the Can Caselles farmhouse, where we turn right and then 800 metres further on we will turn left.
After 600 metres, at a crossroads of 4 paths, we will go straight on and you will only have 800 metres left to enter LLadó along Carrer de la Tramuntana, where there is a car park.

Then, along Figueres street or Camí de l'Escorxador street, we will reach the main square of the village, where there is the majestic church of the old Augustinian monastery of Santa Maria, the end of this stage.
